On Thursday Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is set to open its first Art is Healing exhibit.
The name of the exhibit is Through the Eyes of a Chaplain featuring paintings by Kathleen Jacobson, Associate Chaplain at the hospital.
Jacobson's paintings are inspired by patient stories, many of them end-of-life visions or spiritual transformations. "I had the idea of painting those experiences and that's what this show is about" she explained.
Leigh West, the hospital's Vice President of Marketing and Communication said it's also about bringing healing to patients. "We recognize that healing is more than just physical healing. It's spiritual and emotional" she said.
Jacobson's paintings will be up through February. At that point another artist will be featured.
