CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) _ Members of Wyoming's congressional delegation say President Barack Obama's budget proposal doesn't do enough to cut the nation's deficit.
Obama's $3.8 trillion spending plan for 2013 seeks to achieve $4 trillion in deficit reduction over the next decade. However, it does little to restrain growth in the government's huge health benefit programs, a major cause of future deficits.
Rep. Cynthia Lummis on Monday faulted the president for not tackling entitlement reform and called the proposal an ``un-serious budget.''
U.S. Sen. Mike Enzi said the proposal "spends too much, borrows too much and taxes too much.''
Obama's plan would allow Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthy to expire. People making more than $1 million a year would have to pay at least 30 percent of their income in taxes.
