
A routine traffic stop turned into a drug bust early Friday morning resulting in two men behind bars.
At around 2:45 a.m., 43-year-old Charles Peek of Carpenter and 33-year-old Gordon Hart of Cheyenne were pulled over by Cheyenne Police in the 400 blk of Bent Ave.
Police discovered Hart had an active arrest warrant out of Laramie County for failing to appear in court on an original charge of methamphetamine possession.
Cheyenne Police found various drugs and drug paraphernalia on one of the two men, including suspected meth, heroin, cocaine, marijuana and illegal hydrocodone pills.
Peek, the driver, was arrested on multiple felony and misdemeanor narcotics charges. Hart, the passenger, was booked on an active warrant as well as multiple felony and misdemeanor narcotics charges.
The case remains under investigation by Cheyenne Police.
