Fairview Rancher Convicted of Four Counts of Animal Cruelty

On Friday James Ridge was convicted of four counts of animal cruelty after 98 horses were seized from his ranch back in May.

State livestock officials found more than 100 dead, diseased and malnourished horses after receiving numerous complaints from neighbors and horse advocates.

Ridge could receive up to 1.5 years in jail and be fined over $2,000.
