Buford Up for Auction

Posted: Updated:

Ever want to be the king of your domain? Or perhaps the mayor? Why not buy an entire town.

Buford, Wyoming, population one, known as "The Nation's Smallest Town" will be sold by it's owner during an auction on April 5th at noon MST.

The sale includes the Buford Trading Post, United States Post Office boxes, five buildings including a three bedroom home and a 1905 school house, and approximately 10 acres of land.

"We are offering a very rare opportunity to own a town and piece of American history," said Pam McKissick, CEO at Williams & Williams. "Owning your own zip code does come with perks - you can be the mayor, sheriff, town council, sole voter or any town position you'd like to create."

Interested? Open pubic inspections will take place on Friday, March 16, 23 and 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and two hours before auction. Click here for more information.
