Kelly Ann Cicalese

Kelly Ann joined the news team in March of 2012. She was born and raised in New Jersey.  Despite her Jersey roots, Kelly Ann loves country music and viewing the beautiful scenery found here in Wyoming.

At a young age, Kelly Ann started Irish Dancing/ River Dancing and continued to do so for 10 years.  Through this, she had the opportunity to perform in various theaters in the NYC tri-state area including several performances at Carnegie Hall, P-N-C Bank Arts Center, and a performance on a Broadway stage.  Over the years, she grew a passion for performing, which has lead to her career choice in television.

Kelly Ann graduated in 2011 with honors from Rutgers University and earned a degree in Meteorology.  While at Rutgers, she gained experience broadcasting the weather on the university's television channel. Over time, she realized that broadcast meteorologists could save lives through early detection and updated forecasts of severe weather.  Having the ability to connect with the public and help people attracted her to the field.

Before coming to KGWN, Kelly Ann interned at MY9-News (a sister station of FOX-NY) in Secaucus, NJ. There, she acquired knowledge of newsroom tasks and of weather related tasks.  Her mentors there were very supportive and she is especially thankful for the guidance she is still provided by her news director there.

Besides forecasting the weather, Kelly Ann occupies her time exercising, reading a good book, and watching movies. Growing up on the east coast, she loves  the beach in the summer and skiing in the winter. She enjoys spending time with her wonderful family and friends.  Words can not describe how grateful she is for her supportive and loving family!
