CFD Names New Committee Chairs for 117th CFD

The Cheyenne Frontier Days General Committee named the new committee members for the 2013 celebration at a meeting last night.

 

Off-going committee chairs are Scott Sewell, Contestants committee; Pat Moffett, Contract Acts committee; Dan Johnson, Grounds committee and Tom Hart, Parades committee.  Lt. Colonel Matt Dillow served as interim Military Chairman for Colonel Rob Vercher, who was re-stationed in May.

 

Following Contestant Chairman Scott Sewell is Matt Jankovsky.  Jankovsky works as a Senior Environmental Analyst for the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality.  Jankovsky holds a BS in Microbiology from the University of Wyoming.  A CFD volunteer for 19 years, he was named Cheyenne Frontier Days Volunteer of the Year in 2001 and was nominated to the HEELS organization in 2010.

 

Replacing Pat Moffett as Contract Acts Chairman is Larry Kehl.  Kehl is an Attorney at Buchhammer & Kehl P.C.  Kehl holds both a BS and JD from the University of Wyoming and is a member of the Wyoming State Bar, Wyoming Trial Lawyers, Defense Research Institute and the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys.  Kehl has been on the Contract Acts Committee for 19 years and was nominated to the HEELS organization in 2009.

 

Following Dan Johnson as Grounds Chairman is Ed Vossler.  Vossler is recently retired from Qwest Communications.  He holds a Certificate in Telecommunications and is currently working on a degree in Multimedia at Laramie County Community College.  He served in the Wyoming Air National Guard from 1970 – 1976.  Vossler has been involved with the Grounds Committee for 34 years, and has been a member of the HEELS Organization since 1997.

 

Colonel Scott M. Fox is the Vice Commander of Twentieth Air Force at F.E. Warren Air Force Base.  Colonel Fox entered the Air Force in 1987 after graduating from the United States Air Force Academy. His nuclear missile experience consists of operational tours in Ground Launched Cruise Missiles as well as the Minuteman II and Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile weapon systems, including command of the 12th Missile Squadron "Red Dawgs." In addition, he has experience in the operational test and evaluation of ICBM command and control and space launch systems, safety and operational risk management, and campaign-level operational analysis in support of theater warfighting. In addition to his operational assignments, Colonel Fox served on the staffs of Headquarters US Air Force, Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command, and Headquarters Air Force Space Command. In 2005, Colonel Fox deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM as the Deputy Director of the Defense Resources Sector and Senior Acquisition Mentor in the Office of Military Cooperation-Afghanistan.

 

Replacing Tom Hart as Parades Chairman is Jimmy Dean Siler.  Siler is a Law Enforcement Administrator for the Wyoming Livestock Board.  He attended the University of Maryland and is retired from the United States Air Force.  Siler is a member of the Wyoming Peace Officers Association and the Wyoming Chief and Sherriff's Association.  He has been a member of the Parades committee for 18 years
