After graduating from Metropolitan State University of Denver in May 2012 with a degree in Meteorology, Andrew started his career in Cheyenne at CBS NewsChannel 5 as part of the StormTracker 5 team. His position as weekend meteorologist and weekday reporter allows him the opportunity to learn a brand new skill in reporting, but also to build upon his knowledge of meteorology. Growing up in the Denver area, Andrew knows how widely adverse the weather can be in this region and the difficulties it presents to forecasters. His passion for weather dates back to his early teen years being outside during the summer-time and experiencing all that the weather in Colorado has to offer. If a weather event was happening you could probably find Andrew glued to a computer screen looking at radar, which is still the case today!
Andrew married his beautiful wife Kelli in July 2011, and they just recently welcomed a new member to the family – their dog Mocha. Andrew and Kelli are both from the Denver area, but are excited to be a part of Southeast Wyoming. You may see them at the park running around like a couple of kids with their dog or out and about soaking up all that the Cheyenne area has to offer.
