
Officials have identified the pilot who was killed in a fatal plane crash at the Laramie Airport.
Dr. Donald Kundel (79) of Minnesota was flying a home built one engine plane to Wyoming to meet up with his son for a bird hunting trip.
According to the Laramie Police Department, the crash happened Friday, September 21st, at 2:50 p.m. The initial report said the plane at crashed and was on fire.
The Laramie Fire Department, Centennial Valley Volunteer Fire Department, and the Aviation Fire Fighting crew were on scene to put out the fire which spread across around 10 acres of grass.
According to the Duluth News Tribune, Kundel had just been declared cancer-free after being treated for bowel cancer.
