Smith Candidate For MAACO Bowl Las Vegas MWC Player of the Week

Laramie, Wyo. (Sept. 24, 2012) --  The MAACO Bowl Las Vegas announced its four candidates for the Mountain West Player of the Week Award on Monday, and Wyoming quarterback Brett Smith is among the nominees.

All voting is done by fans through the official MAACO Bowl Las Vegas Facebook page at: http://www.facebook.com/lvbowl

Voting will remain open until 1 p.m., Mountain Time on Wednesday.

This week's four candidates for the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas Mountain West Player of the Week are:

      Brett Smith, Wyoming QB

      Kasey Carrier, New Mexico RB

      Stefphon Jefferson, Nevada RB

      Bradley Randle, UNLV RB

Earlier this season, Smith was honored as the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas Mountain West Player of the Week for his outstanding performance against Toledo, and in Week 1 of the 2012 season Wyoming junior wide receiver Robert Herron earned the honor for his stellar game at Texas.
