NEWS RELEASE: City of Cheyenne
The City of Cheyenne and the owner of property at the intersection of Converse Avenue/Pershing Boulevard/19th Street (former Hollywood Video store) have reached an agreement that allows the City to use 9,500 square feet of land needed to construct the proposed roundabout at that intersection.
The partial agreement allows the Court to vacate the hearing scheduled for late November on public necessity for the roundabout.
The partial agreement provides:
- Construction of the proposed roundabout can begin in 2013.
- The City agrees to provide access points in and out of the property.
- The City agrees to make certain on-site improvements to the property.
- The City will prepare a development agreement that will address standards for any proposed redevelopment of the site.
The City Attorney's Office and the attorney representing the property owner are still negotiating a final settlement agreement.
