As those on the East Coast work to pick up the pieces after Superstorm Sandy, groups from Cheyenne continue to do what they can to help.
Rotary Club of Cheyenne
Now until November 18th, members of the local Rotary Club of Cheyenne will be accepting donations to be shipped directly to a location in New Jersey.
Here's a list they provided of items most needed:
You can drop off donated items at any Meridian Trust location in town. For more information call the number on your screen (307) 633-6414.
Cheyenne Warriors
Cheyenne's very own professional football team is collecting clothes for men and women of all ages and other necessities for the victims of Sandy.
They're also looking for school supplies for children as well as donations of gift cards for people to purchase other needs that can't be donated.
They say the response has been great so far, but there's a lot of items they still need.
"So far we've been getting a lot of clothes," said Mystie Walker, the co-owner of the Cheyenne Warriors. "A lot of women's clothes. Men's, it looks like we're really in need of men's stuff and of course it's winter time there so anything that is warm for them."
If you'd like to donate items you can drop them off at their downtown office, 113 West 17th Street or you can call their office at 637-2807 and they will pick up your items.
Relief efforts are expected to last until November 16th.
