New Coffee Table Book Showcases Wyoming

Posted: Updated:

Majestic Wyoming. It's a stunning place to photograph. Capturing every nook and cranny of the state's beauty was something retired journalist bill Sniffin wanted to showcase in "Wyoming's 7 Greatest Natural Wonders and 33 Other Fascinating Places."

"Back in '07 I wrote a column where I just sort of picked out what I thought were Wyoming's seven greatest natural wonders and I had people all over the state contacting me with what they thought were the great wonders, so that's where the 33 other fascinating places comes from," Sniffin said.

It was originally supposed to be a book done by Sniffin and a few friends. But before long he had received over 2,500 photos from around Wyoming.

"The photos that they sent me were just stunning and I was so anxious to put them in a book and share them with the people of Wyoming," Sniffin said.

Once word got around about Sniffin's book, it seemed everyone wanted to be apart of his project.

"Here in Cheyenne, Randy Wagner wrote about South Pass. Senator Mike Enzi wrote about the North Platte River System," Sniffin said.

Sniffin hopes his book will let people, not only from Wyoming, but around the world discover the state he loves.

The book can be ordered at Sniffin's website, wyomingwonders.com.
