The Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum will be getting some much needed upgrades in the coming months. The museum will be closed from November 28th through December 7th for the first phase of what will be several renovations over the coming months.
The goal of the re-design is to provide new levels of visitor engagement and educational opportunities. Interactive displays will help to tell the history of CFD in a new way that the museum hopes will connect with a broader audience. The completion of all the renovations is set for some time in July 2013.
Curator of exhibits, Brian Briggs said "we really want to dive deeper into CFD, look at the people, the event, the history of it broadly and we want to give visitors the opportunity to understand it on their own terms."
The museum will reopen Saturday, December 8th at 10 am.
