Cheyenne Man Dies on 100th Birthday

On Sunday Elmer Kretzschmar died just hours after turning 100 years old.

His family says he lived a complete life. Elmer was born on November 18th, 1912 in Sartoria, Nebraska. As a young man, he joined the Air Force and became a decorated war hero. He would go on to have a successful career as an ROTC professor.

While his family is grieving, more than anything, it's celebrating Elmer's life.

Elmer leaves behind four children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
