22nd Annual Christmas Parade

Posted: Updated:

The Cheyenne Christmas Parade kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, November 24th. Last year there were 140 floats, decorated with lights and holiday fun. Including bands, antique cars, horse drawn wagons, and of course Santa Clause.

Here's the parade route (map attached): The parade will start at 17th Street and Carey Avenue. It marches north on Carey to 24th Street, then turns right to Capitol Avenue. The parade then makes another right on Capitol and heads back down to 16th street, takes another right there and ends at Pioneer Avenue.

If you'd rather watch from home, CBS NewsChannel 5 will be broadcasting the parade live starting at 6:00. Once again, we'll be set up at the Cheyenne Train Depot. Sports Anchor Anthony Keith and Noon Anchor Kerri Hayden will be hosting the show, along with a special parade guest.

The parade is free, but they ask that you bring a new, unwrapped toy to help support the Toys for Tots program.

The Cheyenne Christmas Parade is sponsored by WYHY Credit Union.
