New Computer Scam Hits Tri State Region

There's a new computer scam hitting the tri-state region. This one claims to be from the FBI.

For Gene Tucker, it all started with a pop up window, claiming to be from the FBI and asking for $200.

Brad Harrington of B&B Computer says he sees the scam three to five times a week.  "The idea is that it pops up the screen, takes over your computer, tells you you've been committing some kind of illegal act" he says.

If you think you're being swindled, immediately stop what you're doing, shut down your computer and take it to an expert to be cleaned.
