The new Prairie Wind Elementary School finally has a home.

It will be built near the northwest corner of the intersection of Yellowstone Road and Iron Mountain road. School officials say they need the new school because many schools in the area are overcrowded.

Prairie wind was suppose to open this year, but it kept changing possible locations. About 450 students will be served at the new school mostly coming from the area north of Four Mile road.

The school should be completed in the summer of 2014.
