Grinch on Patrol

Posted: Updated:

Due to the abundant holiday spirit in Cheyenne, a certain nasty, wasty, skunk was out of work this year, but the Cheyenne Police Department found a job for him that was just right.

In the spirit of Christmas, the Cheyenne Police Department decided to hire the Grinch this year to help catch all traffic violators. And just like the song says, this guy's as cuddly as a cactus and as charming as an eel.

"This poor economy, we need to try to give everyone a job so we thought we'd offer it out to the Grinch to give him some work to do," said Brian Kozak, Cheyenne Police Chief.

Mr. Grinch even brought his trusty dog Max, to help him catch all the drivers that weren't obeying the rules of the road.

"We thought this would be a great way to get the attention of the motoring public to let you know the Grinch is out there working for us and trying to help us keep our streets safe," Kozak said.

As you might expect, there's nothing the Grinch enjoys more than handing out tickets.

"This Grinch, he's kind of mean. He's looking for speeders so he's going to turn you in for sure," Kozak said.

Cheyenne Police wants the Grinch to be a reminder to drive safe, but the Grinch says beware because this won't be the last you'll see of him this holiday season.
