Raffling Off Wyoming Whiskey

Do you feel lucky?

If you're hoping for a bottle of Wyoming's brand new whiskey, you'll need a little luck.

The whiskey has been flying off of store shelves since it was first introduced earlier this month and DT's Liquor Store here in town is down to its final few bottles.

"With the high demand of this whiskey, we're getting calls everyday asking if we've got some and when we're getting more in. We told them, listen, we've got a limited amount and what we're going to do is because of the high demand we've got to do more of a lottery system," said Kevin Georges of DT's Liquor Store.

Perhaps you could call it the liquor lottery. The store drew five names Monday morning and will be doing the same for the rest of the week.

You still have time to sign up at their store on Ridge Road.

Manager and Vice President of DT's, Kevin Georges says the demand is unlike anything he's ever experienced.

"My numbers may not be absolutely accurate, but I believe it sold out to retailers within four minutes of being available and then within hours after being available to the consumer, so I have truly never seen anything like this on any product or any launch," Georges said.

If luck's just not on your side you can put your name on a list for the next batch of Wyoming Whiskey, but there's not date set as to when that will be.
