In less than three weeks, the State Capitol will be buzzing with politicians all pushing legislation. One bill that already has a lot of them talking would bring the lottery to Wyoming.
Representative Jim Byrd (D - Laramie County) is a co-sponsor of the Wyoming Lottery Bill which would allow the state to enter the national Power Ball.
If passed, half of the money would go to a land trust. The other half would be used for Wyoming's roads. It would offset the much talked about $.10 fuel tax.
A similar bill failed in the 2011 legislature. It had 27 yes votes and 30 no votes.
