Four New Cheyenne City Council Members Sworn In

Monday afternoon Mayor Rick Kaysen was sworn in for his second term and four new members officially took their seats on Cheyenne's City Council.

Representing Ward 1, Annette Williams, in Ward 2 Bryan Cook and Dicky Shanor and in Ward 3 Mike Luna are all new members on the City Council.

Incumbents Jimmy Valdez and Jim Brown were also sworn in.

Doctor Mark Rinne was elected Cheyenne City Council President for 2013 and Georgia Broyles will be the new Vice President.

New members of City Council are excited to get started, but know there are a lot of challenges that they're about to face.

"I think I speak for all of us when I say we're very honored and humble to be here. We all care deeply about Cheyenne and we're really excited to get to work. There are a lot of issues of the plate. Coming in our first meeting next Monday, we've got some big decisions to make and we're working really hard to do our homework and get caught up on all the issues," said Dicky Shanor.
