Posted: Updated:

Two teens, dead after a fatal accident Wednesday night on a Wyoming highway. Four others in the pickup are still hospitalized at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.

Authorities say alcohol and speed could be to blame. The fatal roll over happened around midnight Wednesday night on WYO 92, milepost #13.9. Just a mile west of the Nebraska-Wyoming state line.

The driver, 22-year-old Ethan C. Kaufman from Cheyenne, went off the roadway, the pickup collided with a private driveway approach which vaulted the vehicle in the air. It then crashed into a drainage ditch. That caused the pick-up to flip end over end.

None of the six inside were wearing their seatbelt and two were partially ejected.

This crash claimed the lives of 18-year-old Alexis Wheeler and 19-year-old Hallie Anderson of Scottsbluff, NE. The driver is said to be in serious condition.  19-year-old Tyler Hill from Lyman, NE is in critical condition and the other two passengers, 23-year-old Stetson L. Allen and 20-year-old James F. Burford are stable.

If charges are filed in the case, they'll come from the Goshen County Attorney's Office after the investigation.
