The University of Wyoming Geological Museum reopened its doors this weekend after being closed since last summer. The museum received over a million dollars from various sources to modernize the facility, which hadn't been updated since it opened in 1955.
The museum now has new lighting and flooring with an updated heating and ventilation system plus new stairs and entrances.
Several exhibits were also updated bringing their content in line with current scientific findings and making displays more interesting and accessible for visitors of all ages.
The grand reopening will take place this Thursday, January 17th.
