A gas leak a little after noon today led to a fire at Holly Frontier.
Shortly after noon the Cheyenne refinery experienced a leak at the delayed coker unit. There was a subsequent fire which operators and first responders quickly took steps to contain and control.
All Holly Frontier employees and contractors have been accounted for and there were no injuries.
A highly trained fire brigade and operators acted quickly to cool the affected equipment and the fire was isolated and extinguished by 1:45 pm.
They are giving a big thanks to the Cheyenne fire department and other organizations around town who helped in putting the fire out so quickly.
