The University of Wyoming looks to have a promising future when it comes to its energy research program.
Governor Mead and President Tom Buchanan made the announcement today at the Capitol that the Hess Corporation, an energy company based in New York, has pledged $4.4 million to the University's Center for Advanced Oil and Gas Technologies. That donation will be matched by a state fund, bringing the total to $8.8 million dollars.
Today's announcement also included news that the University has made significant gains to fund the construction of a state-of-the-art energy engineering research facility.
