The
Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne's Chili Challenge is going on this Friday! 32 teams are entered and ready to compete.
The Chili Challenge is 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Cheyenne's Holiday Inn.
The Chili Challenge is the Club's annual chili cookoff fundraiser for the Club. Teams will each prepare and serve five to six gallons of chili samples to guests. The team that raises the most money for the Club will win the coveted People's Choice award. Guests will vote for their favorite chili with their dollars, and teams can raise money ahead of the event to pad their voting box. There are also awards for best tasting chili and best decorated booths.
It's a casual, fun, family event with lots of energy. It's also a great way for businesses to advertise and be seen. About 800 people attended the Chili Challenge in 2012.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children, available at Wyoming Bank & Trust,; Wyoming State Bank; at the Club's temporary location, 2100 Pioneer Ave.; at the door.
