The struggle to end domestic violence in Wyoming is an ongoing battle, but one where the state continues to make strides.
The Wyoming Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault honored three of it's biggest champions for the cause at their annual P.E.A.C.E. Awards.
Carla Thurin of Cheyenne, Patricia Luck of Big Horn and Susie Markus of Laramie were all recognized for their work.
Executive Director of the coalition, Jennifer Zenor, said they couldn't have picked three more worthy recipients.
"Combined the three of them probably have 60 to 80 years of experience in this movement. They've all contributed in different ways, but in tremendous ways. They're innovative. They are excellent collaborators, excellent leaders and partners in the work," Zenor said.
