CBS NewsChannel 5's Rylee DeGood sat down with Lexie Madden, Miss Wyoming, to talk about her journey to Miss America.
Lexie is from Torrington, WY. She was 3rd runner up in the 2013 Miss America Pageant. She's the first person to place in the top 5 since 1948 when Carol Held was named 1st runner up.
During the January 12th pageant, she performed a song she composed on the piano called "Canzone Lenta." During her interview with NewsChannel 5, she said right before the evening gown competition her zipper got stuck, and Miss Indiana had to yank it up right as she walked onto stage.
