The Wyoming Kids Count 2013 Data Report, which is published yearly by the Wyoming Children's Action Alliance, ranked Albany County as the best place to raise children in the state.
The report looked at a dozen nationally chosen indicators on child well-being and then ranked the top eleven counties in the state with at least three percent of the child population.
However, the report has much more meaning than the rankings it gives. It is a way to identify areas that communities need to work on when it comes to building strong families. It also looks at those places that have been successful and points out the policies that have led to their success.
