The Wyoming Main Street board of directors held a public meeting this afternoon to talk about Cheyenne's application to become part of the Main Street Program. The board listened to a presentation given by the Downtown Development Authority on revitalization planning.
Wyoming Main Street's purpose is to assist Wyoming communities of various sizes and resource-levels with their downtown revitalization efforts. The program has already been implemented in Laramie, Rock Springs, Evanston, and Green River with success.
Wyoming Main Street is the state-level coordinating entity that promotes and manages the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Main Street program within the state of Wyoming.
A decision will be made on Friday, February 8th.
