School Bus Enforcement

Posted: Updated:

There have been numerous complaints to the Cheyenne Police Department, from citizens concerned about vehicles passing stopped school buses.

This is not only illegal, but extremely dangerous. So the Cheyenne Police Traffic Unit is taking action, starting today.

"Our traffic unit has actually selected multiple locations around the city that are these problem areas and they're actually going to target those areas to enforce an ordinance that requires people to stop when they approach a bus with flashing red lights on," said Dan Long of Cheyenne Police.

If you don't stop, it'll cost you. The minimum fine is $225, but that fine could run up to $750.
