On Saturday an estimated 1,000 people were at the fifth annual Kids Extreme Ice Festival put on by the Wyoming Division of State Parks, Historic Sites and Trails.
The festival spread several blocks along Central Avenue in Cheyenne.
Every year it encourages kids and their families to spend time outside. It includes sled hills, ice carvings, sleigh rides and several other wintry activities.
This year's sponsors include The City of Cheyenne – Board of Public Utilities, Cheyenne Light, Fuel and Power, Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union and the Bureau of Land Management.
