It goes without saying, times are tough for a lot of families. Non-profits and charities are also feeling the pinch of a weak economy. That's why Midas in Cheyenne is partnering with Needs Inc.
Fortune is something Nick Dodgeson, the owner of Midas, has seen a lot of, and now, he's giving back. "I can do advertising but I really wanted to help a non-profit get its name out there" he says. In his latest ad campaign, he features Needs, Laramie County's only food pantry. He's also giving a discount to customers who bring in non-perishable items to his shops.
Needs says it can use all of the donations it can get. "After the holidays people spend too much and have to recover. They don't have enough money for food" explains Diane Davis, Executive Director.
Needs says it's seeing about 30 families every day and is struggling to help all of them.
That's why Midas is lending a hand. "Times are tough. Some folks really need help" says Dodgeson. He's using his good fortune to help the non-profit and hopes others will do the same.
