He will be sharing his views on “The Current and Emerging Global Terrorist Threat in Southeast Asia”.
General Tariq Parvez, former National Coordinator for the National Counter Terrorism Authority and Former DG Federal Intelligence Agency and Chairman of Initiative for Public Security (IPSEC) will give us an insight into the problems that the security forces are facing in Pakistan and the impact expected as a result of the withdrawal of the security forces from Afghanistan.
NATO today faces a whole range of complex challenges and threats to its security, much different from the threat faced by Allies when the Alliance was formed. Lieutenant Colonel Bernd Allert an Expert in CBRN from Weapons of Mass Destruction Non-Proliferation Centre, NATO, with years of experience in CBRN Training, International Outreach and Civil-Military Cooperation will be sharing how Terrorism poses a direct threat to the security of the citizens of NATO countries, and to international stability and prosperity and its role in Countering CBRN Terrorism.
Mr Noboru Nakatani, Executive Director, INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation will be sharing on how the digital security functions of the INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation will network investigators with other experts across the world, leverage information, knowledge and expertise in digital forensics, and harmonise global efforts to enhance cyber-security measures.
Ms Caroline O’Hare, Commander of Strategy & Education Units of the Counter Terrorism & Special Tactics Command, New South Wales Police Force will discuss the strategic approach to preventing violent extremism in the policing environment
