It was quite a scene Wednesday at a home in south Cheyenne.
Cheyenne Police S.W.A.T. was called out to what police believed could have turned into a dangerous situation.
Cheyenne Police were trying to arrest a man who was at 1504 South Trail Way. They believe he was involved in an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon Tuesday night.
Once officers arrived around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon, they had reason to believe the suspect inside the home was armed.
The suspect, identified as 44-year-old Brady Wake of Cheyenne, already had a previous warrant for his arrest in Laramie County.
As a precaution, S.W.A.T. was called to the south Cheyenne home, but in less than two hours the potentially dangerous situation was over.
"Our S.W.A.T. team entered the residence and found our suspect, male, he was dead. It appeared to be a self inflicted gun shot wound," said Dan Long with the Cheyenne Police Department.
Police have yet to release details of Tuesday night's aggravated assault.
