City Council Denies Dinneen Sale

It's back to the drawing board for the City of Cheyenne in its search for a building to house the new Public Safety Administration Building.

The city had been pursuing an agreement to purchase the former Dinneen Pontiac Dealership at the southwest corner of 18th Street, but city council split their vote 5-5, denying the purchase of the building.

The Dinneen family was asking $1.98 million for the property, although it had been appraised for $1.68 million last October.
