Theismann Speaks at St. Mary's Fundraiser

Posted: Updated:

On Saturday former NFL great and ESPN broadcaster Joe Theismann was the keynote speaker at St. Mary's Fanfare for Education fundraiser.

Around 450 people bought tickets to hear him speak at Little America. He talked about the relationship of sports, business, and God in life.

Theismann graduated from the University of Notre Dame, where he played college ball.

He went on to play 12 years in the NFL. Many know him as the Washington Redskins star quarterback who led the team to victory in Super Bowl 17.

This was his first trip to Wyoming.

Every year the fanfare is the school's biggest fundraiser. In addition to Theismann's speech, there was a raffle, silent auction and live auction.
