New Cheyenne Brewed Beer Available Friday

Beer lovers, there's a new local beer to try.

Brand 307 is it's name, coined after a local band.

It's scheduled to be unveiled on Friday at Freedom's Edge Tap House.

"It's a very light bodied ale that we brewed with lager yeast at ale temperatures to create a very nice crisp, light, summer drinking beer that pretty much everybody across the board would love to drink," said Shane O'Keefe.

"The whole band had a hand in brewing this, so we all met in the morning and had a really, really great time and turned out a really nice beer," said Adam Neibling.

Freedom's Edge has become almost a second home to Brand 307, after being invited to play time and time again.

In creating the new beer, the tap house wanted the band's input.

In return the band has written a song called "Freedom's Edge".

If you'd like to hear the tune, the band will be playing at the unveiling.

"Having this tap house in town has really been a positive note for downtown and for the city of Cheyenne, so for us we couldn't even think a second about this," said Keith Guille.

"When they asked us to help out with the beer, that was a no-brainer because we said that was like a fish getting it's own water," said Drew Allen.
