A Cheyenne man is behind bars, thought to be connected with some gun shots heard early Sunday morning.
22-year-old Joshua Romero was stopped by officers not long after the shots were heard in the 600 block of Oakhurst.
He was driving the vehicle witnesses placed on scene, a white pickup truck.
Police say he was driving at speeds exceeding 60 mph near Central and 24th when they stopped him.
Officers saw a black pistol on the floorboard of the pick up.
Romero didn't obey the officer's commands.
He was taken to Laramie County Detention Facility on two charges reckless endangerment and interference with a peace officer.
Police are still investigating the case.
As of this time, there are no reports of injuries from those gun shots.
"There were two other individuals in the vehicle with Romero, but officers ended up talking to Romero and he was eventually arrested and booked into Laramie County jail in interference with peace officer charges and reckless endangerment," said Dan Long of Cheyenne Police.
