15-year-old Trenton Sample, a member of the Cheyenne Boys & Girls Club, just won the regional portion of the ImageMakers Photography Contest and will moving on to the national competition.
This year's theme for the photo essay category was "What Moves Me." Trenton definitely took that theme to heart. His photo, titled "Route 66" was taken during the summer of 2012 while on a road trip with his family.
Trenton said that "What my dream is to be when I grow up is to own a diner on Route 66, so I thought it would be really cool to have a picture and I had no idea it would be able to go this far."
The photo will now move on to the national contest to be judged against photos of other club members nationwide. The winner will have the chance to attend a celebrity event in July. The Cheyenne Boys and Girls club has produced national winners the past two years.
