Due to anti-gun legislation passed in Colorado, Connecticut, New York and Maryland, some gun-related businesses in those states are searching for a new home.
Rumors are swirling that Wyoming could be a possible landing spot, especially for two companies, Magpul and HiViz, located in northern Colorado that are actively looking to move.
"Wyoming is a place that has a good business climate as well as a stable regulatory climate and I think that that's appealing to them," said Bob Jensen, CEO of the Wyoming Business Council.
The Wyoming Business Council says they're in discussions with multiple companies in hopes they'll move to the Cowboy State.
They're selling these companies on cultural fit and the long term benefits of moving to Wyoming, along with the low costs and many other benefits that businesses enjoy here.
Just one business moving here could bring hundreds of jobs, but the WBC knows they aren't the only ones fighting to bring these businesses to their state.
"We know we're in competition with a lot of other places and our job is to put out the best package that we possibly can and help them realize that the long term value is here," Jensen said.
