On Tuesday WYDOT snowplows were out in full force but they weren't dealing with too much snow. The biggest problem was the wind.
"It's windy, very windy and it gets awful" explained Ken Sharp, a snowplow driver. He was taking care of I-80 between Cheyenne and Laramie. "Sometimes it's miserable. When the visibility is poor and the wind's blowing, you can't hardly see nothing."
Tim McGary, WYDOT District Maintenance Engineer, said the worst conditions were north of Cheyenne. "The foreman told me on Highway 85 North that he had some drifts that were about three feet deep" he said.
WYDOT would like to remind everyone of its motto: if there's ice or snow, take it slow.
