Cheyenne Regional Medical Center put into effect its snow plan Tuesday morning, which continued through the day on Wednesday. The goal of the plan is to ensure adequate staffing in the facility during the winter event.
Information received from either the National Weather Service, local law enforcement agencies, or local highway information including road closures is utilized to determine if the plan should be implemented.
Clinic closures will generally follow City of Cheyenne and/or Laramie County School District #1. If those two execute their snow plan the clinics will not open for business.
The most important part for the hospital is maintaining enough staff to take care of the patients, while making sure that personnel who don't need to be there can still make it home safely.
