The Women's Civic League of Cheyenne celebrated its 65th anniversary today with the theme "Strength of Sisterhood." The league began in 1948 with five women. Today, they have over two hundred and fifty.
Over the last 65 years they have donated more than one million dollars to the Cheyenne community which has been spread out amongst many groups and organizations.
Scholarships for high school and college students, the library, Botanic Gardens and Comea house are just a few of those groups. The Christmas House, now in its 44th year, is their primary fundraiser.
