The Wyoming Business Alliance's 2013 Economic Outlook Tour hit Cheyenne Wednesday.
Cheyenne is one of a dozen stops around the state to discuss how to strengthen economic development in Wyoming.
The message that the business alliance is delivering to businesses around the state is to diversify.
Key-note speaker, Howard Benson, the CEO and founder of National Community Development Services, says the rest of the state needs to follow Cheyenne's model.
"The number one concern that we're finding as we get out around the state and talk to the business people and other community leaders is they're worried about we're educating great students and they're coming out of our colleges and schools with no good jobs and opportunities waiting for them other than in the energy and mineral sector. We can grow better jobs and this is the strategy to talk about that," Benson said.
