The results are in. Cheyenne's Board of Public Utilities has released the latest results for Cheyenne's water quality.
According to the report, Cheyenne's drinking water is safe and water quality meets or exceeds federal and local drinking water standards.
Thanks to an advantageous location and state of the art equipment, Cheyenne's water treatment facility is able to break down it's water contaminants in parts per trillion.
They say if they can detect it, they can treat it.
"We're definitely one of the lucky ones. We have pristine snowmelt water and that's what we start with so we're not treating something that somebody else has contaminated. So it's good for us," said Ron Kailey, Laboratory Supervisor for the Water Treatment Division.
