(PRESS RELEASE) CHEYENNE, WY, May 5, 2013 - More than 10,000 women were expected to volunteer at Habitat for Humanity construction sites across the country in recognition of National Women Build Week, May 4-12. Now in its sixth year, National Women Build Week challenges women to devote at least one day to help build affordable housing in their local communities.
On Saturday, May 11, volunteers from Cheyenne, including Lowe's Heroes, were working on installing siding on the first of our two Laramie County Habitat for Humanity homes. Habitat will build all summer long, Saturday, May 11 through Sunday, August 25, 2013. Morning and afternoon shifts on Saturday's are available to volunteers to build and an afternoon shift each Sunday excluding Mothers and Fathers Days.
