CHEYENNE, Wyo., October 10, 2013 – The Leadership Cheyenne Class of 2013, The Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, and Dr. William J. Wyatt, MD present the 2013 Boo-tification Ball on Saturday, October 19, from 6pm-midnight at the Holiday Inn.
Each year, the Leadership Cheyenne graduating class plans, promotes, and organizes the annual Boo Ball to benefit a local beautification project of their choice. The 2013 class will be using the proceeds from this year's event to adhere artistic wraps to ten traffic control boxes - the metal boxes on a street corner near the traffic light - in the downtown area. The class selected local artists to produce artwork inspired by Wyoming's culture, industry, landscape, or history then Pioneer Printing will take the approved artists designs, transform them into a vinyl wrap, and apply them to the traffic control boxes. While some of the art represents traditional western themes, some will also be whimsical and abstract.
Not only will Boo Ball attendees have the opportunity to receive recognition on a traffic control box by purchasing one of the vinyl wraps, they will also have the chance to bid on the artists' original renderings which will be auctioned off at the event.
The traffic control boxes that will receive their artistic makeover are located at:
Pioneer Ave & 17th Street Carey Ave & 17th Street
