Forecast:

Another gloomy morning, but blue skies are peaking through. Cloud cover will increase again today with temperatures really not doing much. For the morning we are waking up to temperatures in the upper and mid 30s. Snow is well on its way for the Panhandle.

Today: Mostly cloudy skies with highs a bit cooler in the low 40s. Winds will be breezy again out of the north northwest around 10-20 mph. Isolated showers are possible throughout the day in our area, but most of the precipitation will be kept to the panhandle and the northeastern plains of Colorado.

Tonight: Winds will lighten tonight but still remain out of the north northwest. Temperatures will be a bit cooler and in the mid to upper 20s. This will allow precipitation to fall mainly as snow. The eastern borders of our state will see the most action tonight along with the entire panhandle of Nebraska.

Wednesday: The best chance for accumulating snowfall falls into our forecast today. Snow will begin in the morning but should really pick up in the afternoon and evening hours. Snow will continue overnight into Thursday morning. Locations near the foothills and spreading to the east can expect 1-3 inches while locations in the Panhandle, extreme eastern portions of Wyoming, and the northeastern Colorado plains can look for about 3-6 inches of snow. Highs will have dropped and should reach the mid 30s. Lows will be in the 20s.

Thursday: Another cool day with snow ending in the morning and tapering off with flurries in the afternoon. Skies will be mostly cloudy in the morning becoming partly cloudy by the afternoon. Highs will only be in the low to mid 40s with lows the coldest we have seen them in weeks! Lows will drop to the teens.

Friday-Sunday: The weather takes a nice turn for the weekend. Best place to be is heading to the mountains, whether it is our mountains or the Colorado mountains. Some of the Colorado mountains, such as Telluride, have seen 15 inches of new snowfall with this passing storm! Nice fresh powder will get rid of the gloomy blues! Sunshine will be the weather pattern for the weekend with mostly clear skies and temperatures in the mid to upper 40s. By Saturday a ridge will have centered itself over our area which will allow some locations to climb to the low to mid 50s! Sunday the weather should be dry, but don't forget to "Spring Forward" by an hour on Sunday as it marks Daylight Savings time!

Monday: We start off the work week nicely with temperatures hanging out int he upper 40s and low 50s! Skies will be partly cloudy.
